Starbase Tutorial Part 01 -Test Universe

Today we start learning about a recently revived and updated game, Starbase.
Starbase is a hybrid voxel/vertex-based space MMO. It was launched in July 2021 by Frozenbyte. Starbase had a rocky start but then its development started to smooth out with several updates. But in April 2022 Frozenbyte announced that it was pausing development due to poor sales. Then, almost out of the blue, Frozenbyte dropped a brand new update in June 2024: Major Test Universe Update. The update, a stand-alone app, replaced the game’s beta Public Test Universe -requiring players to swap between builds within the Live Universe and the Test Universe.
That is where our learning begins. Starbase has a rather extensive but not perfect tutorial that we shall explore in the game’s new test universe.
