Starbound Fort - First Home Shelter - Ice
3Just a short walkthrough of my first shelter as I learn to play the game. This is built all out of found parts. I liked the idea of an ice palace and I had conquered a force in a castle so I had some parts that fit the build. I started to build into a hillside, because I find that sort of architecture interesting. Little did I know this planet has acid rain, so my approach towards the hillside is away from the spawn point and is mostly dug underground with torches to light the way.
The first portion I highlight with the mouse was built-in to the terrain. I liked the idea of having the shelter above the water source... from there I kept expanded. I used a spawner for 1 guard and 1 townsperson... the others just started showing up on their own.
This game is crazy fun and addicting, and even better played with friends.
