At last, Starbound has a way of getting directly from point to point - but it's expensive! As well as money, you'll need to obtain a teleporter core for every teleporter you wish to build. Then you can go to the outpost's new teleporter shop and craft/buy a personal, placeable teleporter.
The Starbound Spirited Giraffe update also sees you now able to bookmark locations using the teleporter, so you can easily get back to an important planet from anywhere in the universe without having to use fuel.
Other updates in Spirited Giraffe include ship pets that you can feed, a mysterious ark you can visit that hints at greater Starbound lore, and a new slime cave biome.
