In this Zerg versus Zerg game analysis of StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void I go over the meta that is currently very standard in the matchup. As it is right now Zerg versus Zerg hasn't really matured yet to the point where the midgame is being reached. This is mainly due to a combination of the current map pool and a few nerfs made to make Mutalisks stronger.
Compared to Heart of the Swarm, Roach timing attacks are much weaker. Both early game Zerglings and mid game Mutalisks counter this just fine, as third bases are much easier to take. The economy changes made to the Legacy of the Void expansion make tech switches very punishing.
