With the community coming together over the past five years, Thankmas has raised over $22 Million for important causes. For the second year, Thankmas is raising funds for World Central Kitchen (WCK), a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises.\n\nWe partnered with WCK to assist in all their current work around the world. This year, WCK has provided millions of meals in response to crises around the globe including earthquakes in Türkiye, Syria, and Morocco, wildfires in Hawaiʻi and Greece, Hurricane Idalia in Florida, war in Ukraine, and flooding in Chile and Vermont. A nourishing meal in a time of crisis is so much more than a plate of food — it’s hope, it’s dignity, it’s a sign that someone cares.\n\nThis year we hope to assist WCK in providing funds for millions of meals to help feed these and future communities who need it.\n\nWCK was founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises. Since created, WCK has provided more than 300 million meals around the world to people impacted by natural disasters, humanitarian disasters, and other crises.\n\nWhen disaster strikes, WCK's Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking and serving meals to people in need. By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of local restaurants, food trucks, or emergency kitchens, WCK serves comforting meals to survivors of disasters quickly and effectively.
