This is one of the two stages that you can get a max score, which is 9999. Getting a 9999 here is much harder than mission 3. What you need to do is let Slippy and Falco die, because they will kill the Aparoids, especially the big one that lays more. When you're in the air, shoot the green missiles that can follow you. They give you one point and you'll need to keep the enemies that shoots those green missile alive, as long as possible, but not too long, because you're gonna have to kill them, to keep your combo up. They react to lasers and will spin around, when you hit them and this will make them fire a green missile, for you to hit. Do this when their are not facing you.

Never take the upgrade lasers. This is the only stage in a highscore run, where the upgrade lasers is something you don't want. The reason why is when you have only one laser, you can shoot the back of the big Aparoid that lays more enemies and gain lot of points from it. Doing this will help recharge your combo, when it's too low. It's not infinite and they will eventually die in one hit, if they don't have anymore. The upgraded lasers will kill them too fast. Only take the lasers, when you're ready to go back to the ground, to get them out of the way. Destroy the Arwing, when you do this, so you can have a the one laser back and big health again.
