There was clearly a bias towards the SNES version of the Stargate game in development and the soundtrack reflects that. The tracklist is shorter and the songs are a lot less fleshed out than the grand orchestral bombast of its SNES counterpart but there’s a snappy lo-fi charm to the bare and eerie instrumentation that I’ve come to like. The Title Theme is of course the best track across both versions and the Genesis version has some great (intentional?) dissonant harmonics.
