Star Ocean: The Second Story was originally released in 1999 for the Playstation 1. And then again in 2008 for the Playstation Portable in the remaster Second Evolution. And then AGAIN with FURTHER enhancements to the remaster in 2015, this time for the PS Vita and Playstation 3 and 4 in Japan only.

And guess what - One more time, in 2023 - This time redubbing the game Star Ocean: The Second Story R - which this time around is a full blown remake for the Switch, Playstation 4 and 5 and PC. Despite being rereleased so many times, this latest remake by Gemdrops who also did the 2015 remaster really gave this stunning JRPG a massive glow up! And you can fish!
