Starship Command BBC Micro game review [Matter of Import 100]
Our 100th import game review is of a 1983 shooter involving elements of both Bosconian and Star Trek. Subscribe to Blown Cartridges for more retro game review videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoDQj54Gd-w8RTdukMrQScQ?sub_confirmation=1

Starship Command deviates from the typical Space Invaders and Galaga inspired fixed-screen shooters common on the British microcomputers to give us something closer to the mainframe Trek games crossed with 1981’s Bosconian multidirectional scroller. As in Trek and its variants you’re a lone ship in a galactic grid, seeking out enemy vessels to engage - though in real time action.

"A Matter of Import" is a #retrogame review series where I play console games that were never released in the US in a rough chronological order.
