This episode we give the demo of the upcoming game Starship troopers: Terran Command , a top down RTS where you command your troopers against the legion of bugs (that you totally didn't frame for a warcrime they didn't commit and then waged genocide against....)

A very easy to grasp game, you capture supply drops and radar stations to increase your unit cap...to drop more units. There' doesn't appear to be a resource for respawning units, making the game fairly forgiving as you can wantonly discard your troops, and if the plan doesn't work throw out some more!

The enjoyment comes from the masses of bugs and a successful setting up of killing fields, however I hope the bugs numbers are much larger for game release, and some polish is added to unit animations and reactivity. Really the main draw to this game will be setting and numbers of units on the field, as it adds nothing new in terms of RTS mechanics, and so the game really needs to grasp quantity by both hands, as it's lack of innovation, polish and mechanical stagnation will really hobble it otherwise.

Altogether shaping up to be a fairly enjoyable RTS for the casual RTS fan, a solid 6-7/10 from the Demo.

However if you're a starship troopers fan boi like me, who just wants to see more starship trooper games and sit awake at night wondering why there aren't any, this will appeal to you a bit more.
