Hello everyone! Welcome to the channel! We're in a new game with a new series and I'm super excited. I've been wanting to start a Cities: Skylines series for a while, and with the recent release of the Plazas and Promenades DLC, I figured this is the perfect time. While I do have quite a few mods, I still enjoy actually playing the game, so this city will be about functionality first and detail / aesthetics second. I find that playing this way helps me to achieve a pretty realistic looking city without spending too much time placing decals and props. Apologies for the bad cinematics in the first couple videos -- I didn't know there was a better cinematics mod until recently, so bear with me! About the series:
Despite having numerous mods and assets, this series will be all about building a functional city from scratch and watching it grow organically over time. There will be areas that require more detail, but let's focus on playing the game for once! It's always an interesting challenge to see if our early planning holds up in the future. I'm not an urban planner in any way, so always feel free to leave a comment with any ideas or suggestions on how we can improve the city.
