Starway Fleet - Hell in a Handbasket - Entry 1/3
12Welcome to Starway Fleet my friends! This is a newly-released first-person space combat game that just came out of early access, so I'm here to review it. Right off the bat I have problems though. The game hates my joystick. You know, the joystick that EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS WITH? Yeah, that one. Won't work with it. Spent thirty minutes before recording trying to get it to work, to no avail. I eventually settled on the mouse and keyboard because even the gamepad felt wrong. The NEXT issue is that there are no targeting commands. AT ALL. I GUESS this is because one can only have so many commands when using VR, I GUESS, but come on, just give me a "target nearest enemy" button. THAT'S ALL I ASK. Anyway, I do two of the single player missions here, and flail about because NO TARGETING, but also notice bugs like ships flying in circles for no good reason. So far, not the best impression is left upon me, my friends.
