So I got a nice follow-up comment on our last video in regards to working with the new iPhone 12's Dolby Vision HDR footage while in FCPX. And we were explained how to work with it so that we could create a proper library and timeline. Which would use Compressor to export a youtube compatible HDR 10bit video file. And it all seems to work great. Which is why we put up this video. We have tested it on the Apple TV running on a Dolby Vision compatible TV, on an iPhone and iPad. Also on 2 different Mac computers running Safari. And the footage looks great! BUT! Yup, there has to be a but. When playing it in Chrome the highlights get blown out again. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe there's a setting in Chrome that I'm unaware of ... Or maybe Chrome just needs an update. Either way here is the steps that I took. And if you can figure out what's causing Chrome to act this way, please leave a comment below!!
