Kinger goes to consult his adviser, Claude Frollo about the suitor problem. By mesmerizing him with his magical snake staff, Frollo convinces Kinger that Frollo needs the Kinger's blue diamond ring to find Isabela a husband. Jafar actually needs the ring to discover the identity of the "Diamond in the Rough." Meanwhile, Isabela, fearing she will eventually be forced into a loveless marriage, runs away from home while disguised as a commoner, doing so in the dead of night, despite an attempt by Djali to stop her from sneaking out, out of concern for her. The princess spends the rest of the night exploring the city, delighted to finally be able to experience her culture.
