In the years since Archeage, I still haven't quite played a game like it. There's a real sense of open world in this MMORPG. With all the gameplay elements of farming, crafting, trading, PVE and PVP activities, there's a lot of fun activities if you're willing to put the effort in. It's not a casual MMORPG imo, but rather one aimed at more hardcore players who don't mind heavy time sinks and brutal pvp.
From now until Monday, October 17, characters receive increases on the following types of gains:
Double experience from dungeons, labor use, and monster kills
Double item drop rates on all monsters (including the last day of the Spelling Bee letters)
1.5x the honor from world events, NPC kills, trials, war, and quests
1.5x vocation badge gains

Archeage has it's problems just like any other MMORPG. One thing is for sure, the game has it's dedicated community and looks to be getting better slowly over time. The 3.0 update could do great things for Archeage to bring back even more players to this unique sandbox MMORPG.
