Nobody does this maliciously, but we all seriously need to stop comparing every game to Dungeons and Dragons. It's become the societal norm, when talking about Tabletop RPGs, to simply say "It's basically Dungeons and Dragons, but different". This does a great disservice to the people who work hard on creating unique and independant system with zero connection to D&D.

Games like Pathfinder 2e, Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, and more all work hard to make their own games with their own rules to tell their own stories, but they're constantly compared to D&D simply because it's the most popular. It'd be great if we could stop doing this, but is it too late?
