On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 Born This Way Foundation, Verizon Media, and BUILD, co-hosted Stories Matter: #BeKind21 In Conversation. The event was part of Born This Way Foundation’s #BeKind21 campaign which invites the public to build a habit of kindness – to themselves as well as to others. The purpose of the event was to bring the importance of this campaign to life by showcasing the impact that kindness can have – when we practice it and when we receive it – on our lives, particularly on our mental and emotional being. People shared and discussed personal stories that serve as examples of the power of kindness – learning to be kind to yourself, understanding how to be kind to others, and becoming comfortable with accepting kindness that’s offered to you.

BUILD is a live interview series like no other—a chance for fans to sit inches away from some of today’s biggest names in entertainment, tech, fashion and business as they share the stories behind their projects and passions. Every conversation yields insights, inspiration and plenty of surprises as moderators and audience members ask questions.
