Years after the original version was done, I asked a pal from college if he'd like to toss some percussion over this. I think it speaks for itself. It's better than I hoped for. I'm sure the same can't really be said for the EQ choices I finally decided to make. Basically, while 8 bit rooted, I layered his midi drum tracks pretty heavy with standard effects and modifications. But I really like the energy it has and how it helps the melody stand out.
