Strafe mode is KING! Here's my second Sonic Robo Blast 2 beat the game speedrun finishing in 45:47. Why the massive timesave? I changed the controls to strafe mode and it makes the game is SO MUCH easier to control! I've never had a game have this drastic of a change between control schemes.
