Una and Laan are investigating the crashed shuttle. which appears to have been repaired and thoroughly cleaned. when they find a calling card from an alien race unknown to them. Uhura discovers they can send a subspace call to the species . who has left the map. and Pike and Una are thrilled at the chance to make another alien first contact.
