Stranger in a Strange Land book review
2I have a bit of a rule, anything that references Gulliver's 3rd Travel has to be good. This book as well as one of my favorite movies "Castle in the Sky" makes such a reference. My feelings on the book are pretty complicated though, as the length of this video would suggest. It was challenging, and at times quite offensive, but I think that's the point. The book is something to make you think, to offer a new perspective and see the world in a new light. I think the main reason for the books controversy was because of these views. Today I'm not sure how radical these views are, but in the 1960's it was heresy. At times the book is pretty easy to recommend, but others, not so much.
