Well, this popped off! Thanks everyone for the support. I also got some good feedback from the first demo, mainly in regards to the scoring system. It was both a bit too strict but also way too easy to find one spot and grind in. Also the timer might as well have been invisible.

Introducing the Hot Clock, which merges a timer and difficulty scaling into one mechanic. The more the timer ticks down, the more enemies will appear as you play the level, and the more aggressive they'll act. This is a double edged sword; this means the level will get much harder by the time the hot clock has ticked down to near zero, but at the same time, if you're crazy enough to survive the onslaught of bullets, you can probably rack up some crazy points. Just don't forget to beat the boss before time runs out!
