Straturdays: Plants vs Zombies Crazy Dave run | Front Yard, Night
4It's hard to imagine one not knowing, at least tangentially, about PopCap. Between the first major title associated with them; Bejeweled, and several other niche but adored games like Insaniquarium, Feeding Frenzy, and Peggle, it's hard not to have seen their logo at least once before or after they were acquired by EA. We come this time to their 2009 tower defense title; Plants vs Zombies.
If I'm honest, I don't remember when I first played PvZ. Probably after watching someone's Let's Play of it in my youth. I've owned it on steam since 2013 which is shortly after its release if nothing else. In the teenage years of the internet, before flash was a casualty of the ever-terrifying arms race between malware and security, I'd frequently while away hours of my times with various tower defense games. As the old hosting sites became less and less safe, and especially after the death of flash, I've come back to the game a hundred times to run through the campaign again and again.
Seeing as I've completed this game many, many, many times; we're going to do something I don't know if is a thing or not in the Plants vs Zombies community I've never heard of or gone looking for. See, the companion/tutorial character "Crazy Dave", will select three of your towers at the start of every standard mission once you complete the campaign. I'll be striving to incorporate all three Dave selections into my defenses every mission. Let's see how well I do, shall we?
