STRAYED LIGHTS PC (2023) - INTRODUCTION TO ICY FIRE - Complete Gameplay Part 1
The first game created by Embers is called Strayed Lights. The art direction of Strayed Lights, which was released this April, immediately drew my attention. It has a lot of similarities to Ori and the Blind Forest, another of my favourite independent games. I was quite eager to play the game, and I'm happy to report that I was not at all let down. The fun I've had playing games this year has certainly been at its peak with Strayed Lights.
The atmospheric action-adventure Strayed Lights features smooth combat in a complex, mystifying universe. You are a small, developing light seeking enlightenment. Discover a place filled with shimmering trees and exotic ruins that is home to creatures made of luminescent shadows and flashing lights.
USE ENERGY WHEN IN COMBAT
Combat with rogue shadow monsters is exciting and rewarding. Utilise a fluid combination of parries and dodges to drain their energy before launching a super energy assault. Use timed parries to change your light from blue to orange in unison with your opponents, then push energy back at them with colourful finishes.
CONFRONT ANIMALS INSIDE AND OUT
You are being pursued by monsters through surreal forests of tall trees and glowing ruins. Enjoy rhythmic battles with a range of creepy monsters as well as dramatic boss encounters with enormous shadow creatures gone rogue.
DEVELOP AND ASCENT
Create a distinctive character that can channel energy to unleash powerful attacks. Gain new skills and develop from a little spark into a fictitious being endowed with potent abilities.
TRAVEL TO A MYSTERIOUS PLACE
The universe of Strayed Lights is oneiric and gloomy, both vibrant and enigmatic. Austin Wintory, the composer of the Journey®, ABZ®, and The Banner Saga games, has produced an eerie music that corresponds to the emotional states of the animals you encounter.
