[Stream] Top 7DRLs from 2020 (Day 2/3)
Another set of top 2020 7DRLs for Day 2!
Using the review results from here: http://roguetemple.com/7drl/2020/
Today's games:
* 00:04:58 - Scrolling Scroll Rl (https://rubybliels.itch.io/scrolling-scroll-rl): Head ever northward as you use your scrolls and wits to overcome increasingly challenging odds in this puzzle roguelike. Seems complex at first, but the tooltips are quite helpful. Tough, but good design.
* 01:00:40 - slime99 (https://gridbugs.itch.io/slime99): A mostly-deterministic puzzle roguelike in which you have lists of defensive and offensive abilities collected and accessed in stack form and other abilities to manipulate the stack order. Well-implemented core mechanic with great aesthetics. Also surprisingly balanced!
* 02:02:30 - Book Hunter (https://watabou.itch.io/book-hunter): A nicely polished deterministic combat-free puzzle 7DRL in which you try to retain your sanity as you avoid librarians in the search for a designated book.
* 02:39:21 - Cardlock (https://deadpanwill.itch.io/cardlock): Squad tactics mixed with deckbuilding, inspired by Dream Quest. Lots of UI polish here. Great controls. Game wants you dead :P
