Runs off a Raspberry Pi 3B. Retropie installed on the micro SD card set up with a silent boot directly to the game, so it looks like and boots up almost identical to a factory machine:
Audio goes from the headphone jack to a 15 watt dual channel audio amp, and to the cabinet speakers.
Light behind the marquee replaced with a 17 inch LED strip.
Outputting using a VGA666 adapter at a 1680x1050 resolution, cause I like the 16:10 scaling better than 16:9 or 4:3.
Controls and coin slot wired to USB encoders.
Replaced the bulbs behind the coin slots with pinball LEDs rated for 6.3 volts AC. Even with 5 volts DC going in, they are plenty super bright.
The AC input has the hot wire fused with a 2 amp automotive fuse, which goes up to and back to the cabinet's master switch, and to a standard female 3 prong AC plug. Simple 120V AC power strip/surge protector going into this, which powers the Pi, LED light strip, LCD monitor, and the AC adapter that goes to the audio amp.
A second micro SD card which I keep in the cabinet boots Retropie with a custom video intro, and to Emulation Station with various installed 6 button fighting games selectable from a menu, with video intros and all. After 5 minutes of inactivity, it will switch to a screensaver of playing random video intros from the installed games, for a nice attract mode.
Marquee and control art is of Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition. Side art is Street Fighter 2 World Warrior. In the future, I hope to add a custom monitor bezel to blend the two games' front/side art together with a moves list.
Also hoping to replace the CRT eventually with a 19 inch CRT, but that's later down the road.
