Street Fighter II SNES vs Sega Genesis Playthrough. It's a mixed gameplay video comparison of SF2 on Super Nintendo and the Sega Mega drive version. It's a longplay to compare and look at the differences closely between SF2 Special champion edition and SF2 Turbo, hence the long unofficial name of Street Fighter II Turbo Special champion edition Hyper fighting. It's 1 round for each opponent using Ryu in both versions, both settings are on difficulty 8 stars and speed 3 stars,I personally think any more is too fast,8 stars is just ridiculous.I drag each round out for as long as possible to get to hear all of the music on that stage and I've put all of the bonus stages together in one section before the 4 'bosses.' I messed up the video/picture settings especially the end credits, the aim was to get them both to fill the screen as much as possible and be as near to the same size as possible.Certain settings particularly for Capcom games have a habit of cutting of the bottom and tops of the screen,I don't know why mainly Capcom games? My personal opinion as per my video (30 games better on SNES..) is that the SNES version is best, not by alot and I'm not saying Segas version is bad.It has IMO better sound fx,music, probably slightly better and more crisp graphics but I do like the more arcade-iness feeling of Segas version. One of the main reasons I think the SNES version is better is the control pad,the opposite reason for most peoples thinking. I feel this game only needs 4 buttons, set the Y,B,X,A buttons to light and hard Kicks/punches and the mediums to L and R if it's even worth setting them at all. Segas version? What's chances of having one let alone two 6 button controllers? If so at what cost? SF2 Turbo and SCE was both £60 in the UK from what I remember ( alot of money, especially back in '93),atleast the SNES version was playable straight away without the need for shelling out for a 6 button controller or two.
