Street Fighter II Champion Edition (Alpha Magic-F bootleg set 1 920313 etc) 1 CC ROBBED 2 times. GMS
Grand Master Smoke of the Silver Dollar Grand Masters makes 2 more attempts at peforming a 1 Coin clear of Street Fighter II Champion Edition (Alpha Magic-F bootleg set 1, 920313 etc)
The FORTH 5th video and FINAL in the series....
Unfortunately Attempt 1 to 4 were recorded but Erased....!
There was NOT enough Hard Drive space to Keep a full Record of ALL his amazing Runs...!
This is acctually was his 8th and 9th Life time attempt at clearing this crooked cheating bastard of a Game....!
Ending in failiour.... let's just say he wasn't Impressed with the CPU's antics....!
I did NOT beat the Cheating CPU this time but losing is the most important part of the game... I assumed this was going to be like the version of crazy Street fighter 2 that I played as a kid... It REALLY wasn't....!
I lost because of not knowing the match up against Sagat...
watch as I do something that I would Never do in the arcades...
I burn 4 credits to continue ... to learn Crazy Teleporting CPU Sagat's patterns... Now I know what to expect .... next time I won't lose like that against him....! I hope you Come back to watch me clock this game next time...
Street Fighter Champion Editon had become an Amusement Arcade hit...
I could be wrong, but as far as I remember:
Capcom the developers of the CPS-1 Arcade Game Hardware did NOT impliment any sort of write protection to the Eletrically Erasable Programable Read Only Memmory (EEPROM) Intigrated circuits aka microchips... The job of the EEPROMs on the CPS-1 circuit board was to hold the ROM (Read Only Memmory) ... and what was in the ROM...?
The GAME programe codes....!
People who use Emulators often refer to games as ROMs even today...!
Ordinarily it would Not have been a problem, as You would need fairly specialist electrical eletronic and computer engineering knowledge which most people do not have, and the appropriate tools....
From what I know, some smart chineese HaKorzs were able to 'dump' the ROMs recode them and reflash the modified c0deZ back on to the EEPROMS and get the game to work in a 'slightly' diffrent way than before...
We knew these games as 'crazy' Street Fighter 2...
There were many versions...! most had modified the special moves,...! sped up game play...! allowed players to peform special moves in mid air...! And even change characters mid match...!
When Capcom found out they were not too pleased initially, but many of the ideas implimented in the hacks seem to have found there way into to many subsequent Capcom fighting game titles... So I think Capcom have a lot to thank the hackers for...!
As a response Capcom relised Street Fighter Hyper Fighting the following year in 1993...
Using many of the hacks from the bootleg versions of Champion Edition...
I don't play or use anything that is NOT available in a standard amusement arcade.... because I train the way I play in casuals, friendlies, in tournament and most Importantly of all in the Amusement Arcades... where your credit is on the line....!
NO FAKES....! NO Auto fire...! NO marcos... NO Rage Quiting...!
A CLEAN 1 TAKE....! NO EDITS MADE.....!
