Street Fighter II': Champion Edition (PC Engine) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A complete playthrough of NEC's 1993 PC Engine (TurboGrafx 16) versus fighting game port, Street Fighter II': Champion Edition.
Played through with Blanka on the hardest difficulty level. Best ending shown.
Argh, my Avenue 6 pad broke, so I ended up having to play this with a regular 2 button Duo pad. It's not too bad once you get used to it, but it certainly forces you to change up the way you play (there's a button that switches all the buttons from punch to kick, just like SFII on the Genesis did if you only had a 3-button pad).
It's well worth it either way. For what was technically an 8-bit system, this really was incredible, beating out the SNES and Genesis versions both in certain areas.
And for what it's worth, I'm in love with the Turbo's synth engine, so maybe I'm biased, but this is by far my favorite version of the soundtrack of all the 16-bit ports.
