Arcade Mode Run #39: Gill
A new character dropped and it seems to me that this game isn't done yet. This is Gill.
Gill needs no introduction as he was the main big bad of Street Fighter III. However, they made this guy really brutal in the game. Here's what you need to know.
Gill has no Crush Counters. To make up for this, he has access to Retribution. He has access to his fire and ice based moves but they make it interesting with his Retribution and the V-Skills and Triggers. You notice that Capcom has decided to add the second V-Skill for every character right? Well they did it to help add more variety to the game. Arcade Edition introduced the Second V-Trigger while Champion Edition gave us the second V-Skill.
Gill's first V-Skill lets him summon either a meteor or an icicle, depending on the V-Trigger you have. His second V-Skill allows him to parry attacks. That's all there is. As for his V-Triggers, hoo boy. His first V-Trigger enhances all his fire-based attacks to the point where you can set up some nasty Retribution attacks. Plus he also has access to a multi-hit flame attack that doubles as an anti-air. The second V-Trigger is the opposite, enhancing his ice-based moves. He also has access to a nasty little ice trap that freezes opponents in their tracks. It's perfect for trapping opponents and setting up nasty combos.
Gill has only access to Seraphic Wing and you know what's worse, the SF3 Arcade Run has you facing against Gill who has Resurrection. Expect a tough challenge ahead of you.
