StreetPass Mii Plaza - Find Mii 2 Main Quest Speedrun Any% in 4:22 (USA)
22Summary: Possible sub 4:20? I think it's possible. Ica really does help a lot in saving time.
From my Find Mii speedrun. I used the same strategy of having a lineup of female Miis and setting all Mii subregions to Ica to save time from the text dialog. A few RNG moments were unfortunate, but I think a 4:20 sub is possible, and I'm making that as my goal for this run.
Below is a copy and paste from my other speedrun video to explain what I did in this run.
(So here's a few things that I think helped me in this run. Setting the region settings to Ica from both 3DS systems helped a bit. Ica is the shortest region in terms of wording to speed up the dialog. Also, I never realized this until later in the run, but I looked at the dialog and saw that the text is different when it comes to the gender of the Miis.
For example:
Male Miis
(Mii), a level 7 hero, appears!
(Homeland: Peru/Ica)
Female Miis
It's (Mii), a level 7 hero!
(Homeland: Peru/Ica)
Since the female Miis have a shorter text dialog than males, it may save a little more time if all the Mii lineup are female Miis.
For having Ica show up as the homeland for your runs, both 3DS systems have to be set to Peru as the region. If your 3DS streetpasses anyone from another country set in their System Settings, Find Mii will have the homeland as whatever region their 3DS was set in that dialog. But if both 3DS systems streetpass each other and they both have Peru as their region in their System Settings, then Find Mii will have their subregion shown in the homeland dialog. In this case, I had both my 3DS systems to streetpass each other with Ica as the subregion to speed up the dialog.)
