Here I go into more detail about the learning process and some of my strategies for each part.

This is an exceptionally difficult Beat Em Up, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I was able to take it down on my 5th full attempt. Full attempt meaning exhausting all continues. These attempts ranged from around 45 minutes each, to 1hour 16 minutes each. The time increased as I was getting farther. My fifth attempt with Zan to be clear. No save or load state practice was used for this game.

I tried the game many years ago but never committed to working on it until a few days ago. I started with some ROM Hacks to get familiar with the game and beat some different hacks of the game. I count the hacks as seperate games, on the list I keep of all my kills. It was great practice since it was much easier using overpowered characters like Shiva and Ash in the hacks and also the 9 continue hack made things way easier. This was good to give me an idea of the game layout, so Im sure that helped too. I beat one of the hacks on my second full attempt with Ash. I rarely ever resetted in the games. The other I beat the first full attempt with shiva since that hack had the 9 continues. The Ash one had 3 continues but Ash destroys shit.

So I would estimate I played for over 8 hours between the 2 hacks and the official game, since I booted up the game again a few days ago. Hard to say how long it wouldve taken without playing the hacks first. Maybe it was not needed , but it was fun.

I highly reccomend checking out Anthopants channel for some insane playthroughs of these games with No Deaths on Hard, speedruns with all the characters etc. We exchanged feedback and I got alot of ideas from his videos.

The main thing in this game is to MASTER crowd control. You will see alot of very quick decision making in this run and for me that was essential for my playstyle and to do well. Enemies will surround you very quickly so its important to try and take them out fast and group them together whenever you can, use throws, pits and Zan's special when your bar is full, or when you need it. In the video you should get some ideas by watching, but check out Anthopants playthroughs for some high level shit.
