Giving this a whirl with the SOR1 versions of Blaze and Axel. They're quite good, especially once you upgrade Blaze's blitz attack. I changed the AI so that it was more likely to pick up points items quickly to help get extra lives and attack upgrades, which it needs more than I do.

This run was very close to a 1-life clear. Stupid Rudra!
