Strider aka Strider Hiryu in Japan is a classic arcade game developed by Capcom in 1989 and runs on the CPS-1 arcade hardware. You control the futuristic Ninja from the future as he battles his way from the rooftops of Moscow through the jungles of the Amazon to the skies over the planet Earth. Strider was definitely one of the best looking games to be seen in the arcades of the late 80s. The screen is constantly packed with action and dynamic movement. Strider himself has a massive amount of animation for a game hero. There is a flood of sprites on screen at all times. Troops constantly march toward you, robotic creatures buzz around above you, packs of wolves fluidly chase you down, and entire parts of the game seem to come alive. A great game in it's time.
