Strikers 1945 Tutorial With Commentary (Saturn)
Around 6 hours 25 minutes to beat. In this video I detail my strategies for the very difficult final stage. The final stage alone took over 6 hours to complete. After playing through the identical PS1 version in 37 minutes I suspect the input lag on the Saturn emulator to be why it took so long. Because of that memorization was really critical for my playthrough.
One thing I forgot to mention is that I switched out the joystick on my RAP4 Pro controller from the default Hayabusa (with a gate mod) to the Seimitsu 62 model. The 62 is a hybrid of Seimitsu parts and tries to take the best out of various Seimitsu models. These are apparently the sticks used in actual bullet hell arcade cabinets in Japan, but are not included in any of the commercial pre-built sticks. The difference was huge for making micro adjustments with a shorter throw distance and way less deadzone. With all the practice that really made a difference. The Hayabusa is an awesome joystick that I used to beat the brutal Gun.Smoke for arcade, but its very loose with more deadzone. Its really more designed for fighting games than shooters. I wanted to specialise my joystick more toward shooters since thats the main thing I use it for. Rarely use a stick, but have been getting into it lately. Later I will put the Hayabusa stick in another base and create a second controller from that. Then I can swap between a ball top , bat top, hayabusa and seimitsu and really see what controller I prefer for different types of games. I want to review all of that in a future video. For my future mod Im looking at a Mayflash F500 controller as the base for my mod. They are supposed to be very moddable. Sanwa buttons are super responsive so I dont think I will switch to another brand or style for those.
Lost continues on the last 3 stages were edited out. The game doesnt penalise death until the very end.
Stay tuned !!
