This was my second full run of this game and mode after a 5 month break. Fucked around with a new joystick yesterday, but normally play these types of games with a pad, so my joystick run was shit (6 CC). Once I lost my weapons in the final two stages things really went to shit. Also fucked up stage 6 badly. This is still technically a better run than my other 5 CC run since that was down to the last life. I had 4 lives left in this run when I beat it. Still shitty. I would have had better runs prior to this but I usually reset the game if I lost a single continue, since I was aiming purely for that 1 CC goal. Itll come back to me. I will continue to work on hitting a 1 CC run (No continues lost). I have the strats down, I just need to put it all together. I made a tutorial where I did all the sections in segments with no deaths. Putting it all together in a legit run is of course much harder. This was 5 months ago so I may need to practice the later stages more. Stage 4 is always a freakshow with the trucks, so I expect some fuck ups there. Strategies in a 1 CC run are also different at points since survival is the goal and safer methods, farming points for lives are more viable strats. Playing segments with save states to refine , part by part, is much different.

I made it to the end of stage 6 without using a continue making this my best 1 CC attempt so far. I did find a farming trick where I was able to farm up 3 additional lives. I have to decide how much I want to exploit that as I might be able to get a shit ton of lives with this trick. At some point I think it defeats the purpose of a 1 CC run if I was to farm 10 or 20 lives.

The video drags out because of the 24 minute section at the end of stage 5 that was mostly lives farming. If I add commentary to my legit 1 CC run (whenever it happens) I will edit that farming down and explain it again. I will also post up the full unedit run like usual.
