With the upcoming release of Stronghold 2: Steam Edition on October 5th, we take a look at the game's visual enhancements with a side by side graphical comparison. With enhanced visuals, widescreen support and a reworked user interface, the Steam Edition gives a new feeling to the old Stronghold classic. You can now keep better track of your pitiful subjects, observe a greater area of the battlefield and watch closely as medieval life unfolds within your castle walls.
Stronghold 2: Steam Edition will release as a free update for all existing owners of Stronghold 2 on Steam, currently available as part of the Stronghold Collection. The new Steam Edition will come with full Steam multiplayer, Workshop support, achievements, new maps, visual enhancements, a digital art book, soundtrack and Steam trading cards.
