The elites and bosses of act 1 are good measuring sticks for how good your act 1 card choices and relic/potion pickups were. If you defeat them by certain turns, you'll generally be in pretty good shape. Watcher seems to be good at outputting damage but a little iffy at generating block, so she's generally pretty well suited to solving problems Through Violence... as long as there's enough violence to solve said problems.
