This is a pretty interesting boss relic. Instead of getting 1 energy every single turn, but with some kind of attached downside, instead we get 2 individually retainable energy, but that's it. So I can have a big turn 1 if I really want to, but if I can get creative, I could save some or even all of that energy for later turns if that makes things work out better.
...So, in theory that could mean better setup on turns 2 and 3, but it seems like in act 2, there are a lot of fights where having a very strong turn 1 full of a lot of attacks or a lot of setup is important. If that's the case, then this relic ought to be pretty solid, as long as I'm careful with everything else that's going on.
