OK, with the benefit of hindsight, knowing how the run goes, it turns out that if I'm live-commentating a run, and it has Scry in it and stalling for counter relics or Lesson Learned, then yeah, it's going to take a while. So, uh, whoops. Hopefully the developers can think of a better way to make similar mechanics work, or rework them so they don't take this long.
There is value in being able to get enough control over a fight to purposefully stall it out, so recognizing that with a power boost is nice, but wow does it take longer and be less satisfying than just simply destroying the enemy at your first opportunity and being done with it. Oh well, that's the game as it stands though.
