Sub Scan (Deep Scan) - Atari 2600
1EN: Deep Scan is an arcade game released in 1979 by Sega. The game involves commanding a battleship which can drop mines from either the left or right in an attempt to destroy enemy submarines. The player must also avoid mines launched from these submarines, which will increase every time a target is missed. The game also featured a radar on the bottom of the screen, a gaming innovation that would be popularized on the mega-seller Defender two years later, as well as full RGB color graphics, which was still a new feature in 1979. Some arcade cabinates bundle the game with Invinco, a Space Invaders clone released by Sega in the same year.
The game was ported to the Atari 2600 in 1983 (as Sub-Scan), and was also included as a minigame in the Sega Saturn title Die Hard Arcade, in which every 200 points earned gives the player an extra credit.

Le jeu consiste à commander un cuirassé qui peut larguer des mines de la gauche ou de la droite dans le but de détruire les sous-marins ennemis. Le joueur doit également éviter les mines lancées par ces sous-marins, qui augmenteront chaque fois qu'une cible est manquée. Le jeu comportait également un radar en bas de l'écran, une innovation de jeu qui serait popularisée sur Defender deux ans plus tard, ainsi que des graphismes couleur RVB complets, ce qui était encore une nouveauté en 1979. Quelques cabines d'arcade regroupaient le jeu avec Invinco, un clone de Space Invaders publié par Sega la même année. Le jeu a été porté sur Atari 2600 en 1983 (Sub-Scan), et a également été inclus comme un mini-jeu dans le titre Sega Saturn Die Hard Arcade, dans lequel chaque 200 points gagnés donne au joueur un crédit supplémentaire.
