Well hey, there folks and fellow Youtubers I hope you are all doing just fine today as I start up a series of game-analysis/playthrough videos for Mark Of The Ninja where I will analyze different and subtle horror elements in the game as I play each by a different level as each of the maps in the game has what I call different subliminal horror-themes in it according to the setting and motif of said levels as I will be doing one video per level as we shall explore the subliminal horror-themes found in Level 1 Ink & Dreams as it is, of course, the very first level in the entire game no doubt.

Now one of the obvious horror elements in Ink & Dreams comes by way of the Chinatown-like setting of Oshi-City what with its creepy-looking pagoda-like buildings in the distance as well as the interior of the buildings with its creepy-looking Asian designs and architecture of which to me has always reminded me both of a far-eastern level from a Mortal Kombat game as well as the Chinatown type setting seen in a more Asian-flavored episode or movie of the late 60s and early 70s Scooby-Doo cartoon series another way this Fareastern horror element manifests is the creepy red-lanterns seeing on the pagodas off in the distance combine that with the brown color of those buildings as well and you have a recipe for a very far-eastern horror setting akin to a Scooby-Doo movie or episode as I said before. Now, now whether Mortal Kombat and Scooby-Doo was a deliberate influence on Mark Of The Ninja on developer Klei Entertainment's part I am not sure but it is fascinating none less though.

Now, what motivated me to start doing this series of game-analysis/playthrough was I saw British Youtuber Rob Ager doing a series of gameplay-commentary videos for the Bethesda-Made Medieval-Fantasy videogame Skyrim and I thought how cool it would be if I did something like that thing was I wasn't sure at the time which game that would end being and eventually I chose this game Mark of The Ninja due to subtle horror-elements I have noticed in it since nearly having started playing the game almost ten years in 2012 and that is when I started to start making these series of videos here.
