Very cool squad based real time combat with tactical pause, called here an "action planner or planning mode". It starts off easy and can get very difficult, but not impossible. Characters have various skills that can be upgraded which is good because it gives you reason to use them all. Sometimes the combat can get really intense, so could give a good challenge for veterans of the genre. There seemed to be memory leaks during the castle map which caused game audio corruption issues, but during the larger village map that didn't occur. Hopefully that is not an issue in the full game?
