10☁️ Review: SunnySide is the farming sim I’ve been waiting for! It reminds me of the Persona Series with its wonderful character creation that offers balanced representation. As a person of color and a woman who prefers subtle character design, I felt truly included. The NPCs are full of personality and make me want to engage with them, a refreshing change from other farm sims.
The game’s scenery is stunning, with beautiful weather elements, especially the rain, which I love listening to. The absence of forced romance or child-rearing systems is a breath of fresh air, allowing me to focus on building relationships at my own pace.
The turn-based combat feels fresh and engaging, and the unique crafting system encourages interaction with NPCs in the city for upgrades. This modern twist on the classic farming sim formula makes SunnySide stand out.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the developers and the team behind SunnySide. Meeting them at DreamHack and seeing their passion was truly inspiring. This game is my farm sim of the year, hands down. Highly recommended!
