In Levels 5-7 and 5-8, White Bomberman finally gets to face Plasma Bomber, the shocking leader of the Five Dastardly Bombers, in a final showdown to determine the fate of Bomberman and his world.

Ironically, despite his Plasma Bombs being spiked, they do not pierce through soft blocks. In fact, besides their appearance and greenish-yellow explosions, Plasma Bomber's bombs aren't that special at all. I guess that's why he still throws them with a Bomb Glove. To make up for this. So just keep blasting him until he gives up and retreats into 5-8, where the real final battle begins!
--------------

In 5-8, Plasma Bomber pilots the most fearsome machine that the Dastards have ever had: The SkeleGuard!

Not only does this SkeleGuard like to charge to the bottom of the screen where you'll likely be, but it can also release ghost skulls to come after you. They can't be destroyed by your bombs, so you're forced to dodge them while also dodging the machines other attacks.

This boss takes A LOT of hits to kill, and as you do damage to it, it loses both of its arms. You still can't let it touch your bombs before they explode, or they'll just vanish. If you've held on to the Remote Bomb up to this point, this should be much easier to manage.
--------------

Plasma Bomber, being the leader that he is, managed to survive the destruction of his own machine, and instead of trying to face Bomberman one more time from there, he offers to shake Bomberman's hand, seeing him as a worthy opponent, and deciding to make peace with him after a grueling battle.

Before the handshake could be made, however, Plasma was shot right in the back of his own SkeleGuard. This proved to be fatal as Plasma Bomber had died from the blast. What a shame...

The SkeleGuard then reveals it true form: A spiked, one-eyed squid monster known as G Ganzu!

(No seriously, in a Bomberman game?)

The only attack G Ganzu has is to just touch you for damage. He also can't be hit by any of your explosions, because he's actually floating around to get you. The only way to damage him is to use the Bomb Glove to throw bombs right at his eye. In other words, it's almost just like punching bombs at the final boss of Super Bomberman 1, but in this case you MUST aim at the eye rather than just toss bombs at it at any angle.

As tedious as this still is, at least G Ganzu takes less hits to die compared to how much SkeleGuard was tanking. Once this one-eyed freak is destroyed, the entirety of Plasma Bomber's ship, and the Five Dastardly Bombers' core ship, goes right with it. Bomberman miraculously survived the destruction, as it managed to throw him right back down to his planet, to the welcome and celebration of this fellow Bombermen.

THE END
--------------

Now that I'm done with this, I'm going to start a Super Bomberman 3 playthough. Going to Super 2 to Super 3 is going to be very disorientating, as Super 3 looks and sounds A LOT different from the first two games.

Also, as an update, I also have Super 4's playthrough ready to go, though I'm not going through that until I have uploaded all of my Super 3 videos. I'm still figuring out a dilemma I'm having with making a solid Super 5 playlist, and I also now have a Nintendo Switch, so I could also consider Super R into this, too, since it was my inspiration to making Super Bomberman playlists to begin with.

So stay tuned for more Bomberman content in the future, nonetheless, starting with Super Bomberman 3!
