Trying to beat Super-C (NES) with 1 life without picking up any powerups. It's actually quite interesting coming back to the basics of this game after knowing how to dominate it (https://youtu.be/YWIcDRKnSlA?t=151). The default weapon can feel powerless at first but is actually quite powerful if you use it correctly. There are places, such as near the end of stage 4, that you are nearly overwhelmed by enemies and is quite challenging. It would kick anyone's ass first time out.
