Super Hang-On is a motorcycle racing game released for the Sega Mega Drive video game system in 1989. The game is an evolution of Hang-On, another motorcycle racing game released on the old homegrown Sega Master System in 1985. Super Hang-On was originally released for the arcade version in 1988, being relatively successful in entertainment centers. The version released in the Sega Mega Drive video game has, in addition to the arcade mode, the "original" mode, where the player is invited to participate in a racing competition against several motorcycle racers, in seven circuits of varying degrees of difficulty. Super Hang On was part of the first generation of games released for Sega's 16-bit platform, which also included games like Super Thunder Blade, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, Space Harrier II and Altered Beast, among others.
