Super Mario: 25 Things You Never Knew About The Game
963It might be one of the biggest games of all time and the most famous title in the mustachioed man’s umbrella but there are a number of things that you might not know about the game - no matter how many times you’ve played it. The Plumber and his twin brother, Luigi, are global superstars and known across the world, but they have some pretty surprising and humble origins, with the main protagonist starting off a bit part character (and even one time antagonist), having to go through several re-designs and even having to battle a lawsuit just to get off the ground. But thankfully it made it through all the adversity and into a juggernaut of a video game, so we decided to look into some little known facts that might surprise you in this video.
We will take a look at the surprising inspiration behind the character, what the mustachioed man’s first job was, how it secretly took from some of the other biggest games around (including Legend of Zelda), what Yoshi’s real name is, how the original side scroller was nearly very different (and how it nearly involved some pretty heavy weapons and violence), the secret backstory and setup for the game, some cool cheats and features that you might not have known, the differences between limited editions, and just how much one of those bad boy’s goes for these days (the figures are eye watering). So let’s warp to the Mushroom Kingdom, travel through Bowser’s Castle and take a look at some awesome pieces of trivia.
