Super Mario 64 - Bob-omb Battlefield Remix [with @Vector_U ]

One of the coolest things about Super Mario 64's soundtrack is that its recurring motif, first encountered in Bob-omb Battlefield, can be heard throughout different stages of the game - and even jingles and sound effects! (those Red Coin SFX sound familiar?...) It's no wonder this tune has stuck with gamers for nearly three decades, and @Vector_U and I are so excited to share our rendition of it!
For this remix, we really went wild and dialed the fun[k] up to 11! Vector suggested going with a slightly downtempo glitch-hop style here, which I think fits the theme perfectly. The song is full of sound effects, mix-ups, and other musical details, and we hope you'll enjoy finding little surprises throughout! VU and I both worked to create a vibrant instrumentation and arrangement, and he did an incredible job keeping things tight with peerless editing, mixing and mastering; the result is a piece that shines with the brilliance of 120 Power Stars!
Having the opportunity to work with Vector U was a genuine dream come true for me. He's been hugely influential in my development as a remixer, and he's a critical part of how and why I even got started in the first place. The man is a source of both encouragement and inspiration for budding and seasoned music producers alike, and it's easy to see why he's so well-regarded in the VGM community.
