This is Super Mario 64, the 1996 USA release running inside MS-DOS. No emulation involved, just pure DOS code. The real hardware used is a AMD Athlon 550Mhz CPU with 256MB of SD-RAM, a ESS 1869 AudioDrive and 3D software renderer. Frameskip was set to 30 and Skybox rendering was disabled.

Due to software rendering, the frame rate can take a dramatic dive with a lot of things are on screen. For more Nintendo 64 accurate graphics, I could have used a Voodoo GPU, but I don't have one.
